Jake Jacob

Song based solo projects, mostly written around voice & guitar or piano. Could be rockin' it out, could be a ballad, it all depends what mood i'm in. Not everything gets gigged live at the moment but hopefully that will change.
Rock, Acoustic, Lounge, Ballad, Indie, Folk, Americana, Blues, Jazz.

Stingo RAH

Electronica! Electronica! call it what you will...... Chillout, Ambient, Trance, Techno, House, Breakbeat, Lo-fi, D&B. To me its all electronica, I hate labels. Anything from the whales calling through to nose bleed, head banging 909 drums with a freaking 303 can work for me. Crunched up beats, huge buildups, down & dirty, freaky filters, dub beats, big strings, I love it all!

Mistreated

Picture
Formed in 2010, Mistreated are a new wave power trio mixing up rock, funk, blues, dub and a whole lot more besides. The band have been described as the 'Real Deal' and compared to artists such as Cream, Joe Bonamassa & Jeff Beck with a rhythm section like a freight train.
Al Jenkins - Vocals & Bass. Chris Ayres - Guitar. Jake Jacob - Drums.

Jacob & Layzell   Taken from the Vault.

Picture
Longtime friends & songwriters Jake Jacob & Stuart Layzell create the most beautiful songs. We almost know the magic is gonna happen before we even start.

Sub:trance   Taken from the Vault.

My band during the early-mid 90's: These tracks i'd like to dedicate to Johnny 'Jomps' Owen (Original band guitarist) & Jan Andrzejewski (Sub:trance soundman & driver). We kicked arse! no doubt about that. We had a lot of fun. We turned alot of people onto our sound. We were pretty unique. I'm very proud of the music we made and what we achived.

Soul Assassins    Taken from the Vault.

Picture
This band began it's life as the songwriting team of Jake Jacob & John Cunningham in the late 80's. After spending a while writing, recording and demo'ing songs & idea's Gary Warmington was brought in on bass guitar & completing the line up Sam Smith on guitar. A first demo was made. We got pretty lucky on that first demo, it got heard by some important names in the biz. We played with all kinds of great names and we did some fantastic gigs and we had a lot of fun along the way.

Euphony   Taken from the Vault.

Picture
Alex Hehir & Jake Jacob, aka Professor Albers & Stingo RAH, aka Euphony. Chris Ayres also joined us on guitar for some of the live gigs & some studio  sessions. We kinda connected ourselves to our Atari computers, wired in some keyboards, drum & triggers, samplers & fx boxes and off we went. A wonderland of sonics & dreams!

Early Solo Recordings    Taken from the Vault.

Picture
These tunes pre-date 1995. Back in those days the studio consisted of not much more than an Atari computer, a yamaha 4 track cassette recorder and a Roland sampler with a whooping 14 seconds of sample time.

It was 1979, I was still a kid in school, and I played drums in a rock band. Awesome!
